The human race never could get along well could we? No. Ever since the beginning of time, we’ve been greedy, selfish people always trying to find new ways to create chaos. Control is something we all crave so much that wars have been fought, blood has been shed, and bombs have been created to brutally destroy others. Yet none of those weapons, bombs, guns, and crafty swords, can ever be compared to the death wielding virus that now overpowers the will of the Gods themselves. The Coronavirus humans thought they could control like everything else we impose our superiority over is now out of its leash and can solely hold death like its own dagger and send it spiraling right into the lungs of anyone.
Anyone.
When there’s such a powerful and mindless killing machine out in the atmosphere, blended into even the very air we breathe, it would be assumed that everyone tries their best to stick to precautions and do the very best they can to stay safe. However, the same way humans are greedy, we also happen to be quite stupid sometimes. There are millions at the mercy of this virus every single day, and thousands and thousands add themselves to the never-ending list of its victims, but some are still out there, stuck in denial and unwilling to rationalize the truth. Sure, sometimes ignorance is bliss, but here the ignorance of a few causes the painful deaths of many. It is truly shocking how so many have been orphaned, widowed, and have had their title as parents stripped away, yet still a few believe this virus to be a figment of imagination, a means to get more attention. It is truly shocking that people of sound mind and body think this pandemic to be fake, but let me enlighten those of you out there anyway.
Hundreds of souls surrender to the will of the virus everyday and take their last breath. I assure you, those deaths are not fake. The painful tears shed in quantities that could amount to oceans increase day by day as the cause for grieving never seems to end. I assure you, those tear streaked faces aren’t the results of menthol tear sticks. Millions of front line workers risk their lives every single second just to have a chance to save another patient. I assure you, those sacrifices aren’t superficial.
Nothing about this pandemic is a fraud. Saying that innocent people lose their lives because of the virus isn’t entirely true either. No. There are people, real people with families to go back to and friends to laugh with, who are fighting an invisible enemy partially because of the ignorant fools still believing this entire situation to be a hoax. I strongly suggest those who still believe this take off their regalia of superiority and dominance to see the truth for what it is instead of gilding it up as a fantasy.
Your mistakes cost lives.
Sure, going out to the store to get yet another liquor bottle or cigarette may seem so important, necessary, and completely harmless to you, but the TRUTH, is that it increases exposure and increases the chance of spreading this uncontrollable disease. Another thing to establish is that while you may not care about your health and your life, I assure you, the people around you, or anyone with half a beating heart, does in fact value their life and fear it being stripped away. So I hope to dear god, that the next time any blind fools step out to go to a huge party without a mask, roam around without the vaccines, take unnecessary detours to satisfy their selfish needs and satiate their own false boredom, they pause to think about those who are at risk of getting attacked with this virus, when it wasn’t even their fault.
I am in no position to demand anyone to do as I say, but in my opinion, respectfully, if anyone goes out and decides to go against pandemic guidelines, they should stay out. The people back home never asked for the unwanted twist of the poisoned dagger into their body that was brought back by an ignorantly egotistical person, so do us all a favor and decide if you value your life and that of your loved ones, or care more about simply gallivanting around the streets for passing time. We don’t need more blood on our hands. We do not need this virus to continue reigning over us. We want this, need this, to end so our lives can somehow return back to some sense of normalcy. We need our children to not live in terror, and we need our parents to not fear a sniffle or a cough. In order for that to happen, please, stay home as much as you can, only leave if you need to, and wear masks and get vaccinated when you do go out.
