Night fall cascades over the orange sky,
A shimmering star zooms by.
Me and the moon,
Alone in the night in June.
I stare at the reflecting lake,
The moon’s reflection keeps me awake.
The crackling fire also gives me company,
Flaring bright red and orange in agony.
Providing warmth and protection,
Dancing around the wood with near perfection.
The stars shimmer like never before,
Contrasting the dull floor.
The trees sway with the air,
The autumn landscape looks bare.
Me and the night,
With the moon so white.
Enjoying the beautiful nature,
Everything else is a blur.
